Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite? If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11? Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence? If George W. Bush had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America, would you have approved. If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved? If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved? If George W. OK, let's get to the thick of it; the G20 summit was a blaring failure. Basically, the rest of the globe told our "comrade-in-chief" to go STICK IT; the gravy train has dried out and they're done financing his universal spending spree. His allegiance is questionable and his intentions are ill-defined. President Obama warned that the world economic recovery remains "fragile" and urged continued spending to support growth, however, the president's remarks tempered the Group of 20's headline achievement at the summit, which is a deficit-reduction target that had been pushed by Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, the host of the meeting and a fiscal conservative. It'll be interesting to see how Obutterfinger rationalizes the health care reform bill(which alone is expected to add an additional trillion to our already epic national debt.) Especially with the mammoth tax increase every American will suffer if he can somehow ram cap and trade through the legislatures. Simply put, cap and trade is a a carbon cap and trade scheme, and if it works perfectly, it basically functions the same as an energy tax. The Waxman-Markey cap and trade bill currently under consideration in Congress is no different. In 2007, MIT did a study on the costs of cap and trade and found that cap and trade proposals that would reduce carbon emission by 50% to 80% below 1990 levels by 2050 would cost the American household $800 a year in economic losses and $3,100 a year in taxes collected by the federal government. That’s a total $3,900 cost for the average American household. WHAT HAPPENED TO NO NEW TAXES? Extortion does not protect the public. They are using false science for a regulating rationale. They are over reaching by extorting money in the name of safety; a form of Tyranny that can not be allowed. SAFETY FROM WHAT??? It is strictly a way for certain legislators who are heavily invested in these alternative energies to assist them in padding their portfolios. Look at the Speaker and how much she invested in wind mills. It is time to remove these extortionists from office. Pre-emptive punishment can not be used under the constitutional law. Cap and trade would just further enrich Obama’s billionaire friends while helping him achieve his goal of transforming the U.S. into another socialist/communist GULAG like Cuba. We had one the coldest winter's on record...so ENOUGH with the "Global Warming" CRAP “Progressive” (communist) politicians like Obama seem determined to force us to swallow the man-made global warming scam. We need to defend ourselves from the United Nations and these politicians, who threaten our future and the future of our children. Based on a lie, they have already wasted billions and plan to increase taxes and increase the cost of energy, which will limit development, destroy our economy and enslave us. If not stopped, the global warming scam will enrich the scammers (Gore and Obama’s Wall Street friends), increase the power of the United Nations and communists like Obama, and multiply poverty and servitude for the rest of us. Obama, Pelosi and Reid are all about government being in total of control of each and everything you do, you own and how it is bought and the next thing will be he will find a way to control the thermostat you have in your house. The saddest part of it all is that the true Americans, those here legally, will be the ones forking over our hard-earned already doubled taxed (state/federal) money, while the illegals, who Czar Obama is now suing Arizona to protect their rights will still be paying no taxes at all. The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Phoenix, argues that Arizona's law requiring state and local police to question anyone they reasonably suspect of being an illegal immigrant undermines the federal government's authority. Now I don't know about you, but if I get pulled over by the police for whatever, I'm required to produce identification, aren't you? The law doesn't allow cops to go running up, willey-nilley to anyone with unjust cause, and furthermore; it is an extension of an already existing Federal law. So let's wrap up this cluster fuck by examining, "card check." Card check--the most radical revision of labor law since 1935--would allow unions to do away with secret ballots, a fundamental right in a democracy, and unionize companies simply by coaxing, cajoling or coercing a majority of workers into signing a card. It came alarmingly close to being enacted last year when the House overwhelmingly passed the fraudulently named Employee Free Choice Act. The Republican minority in the Senate eventually filibustered the legislation. But card check will be bad for workers and businesses. And why McCain wasn't shouting this from the rooftops is one of the big mysteries of his campaign. Unions have been losing membership steadily since their heyday in the 1950s when nearly 35% of the American workforce belonged to a union, compared with 7.5% today. Indeed, even as the economy added more than 9.5 million jobs between 1999 and 2006, unions lost more than 1 million members. But instead of enticing reluctant workers by offering better prices or services--as a club losing membership would do--unions want to effectively coerce them by taking away their right to a fair vote. Furthermore, Big Labor wants to eliminate the elections required to form a union, while keeping them for when workers want to remove an existing union. This is a flagrant double-standard designed to turn workers into union hostages.
